Guitar Center recommended this place, and I happened to be in Reno for just a day running errands from out of town. I called on the off chance they could take my guitar, and Nyles got it fixed quickly that same day even though it was his day off. Great service, fair prices, and super friendly. I’d definitely recommend them!

Reynolds Guitar did an amazing job setting up my guitar to exactly what I needed. Nyles is an awesome genuine guy who puts a lot of passion into his work and his work speaks for itself. I recommend him to anyone looking to get their guitars fixed or set up to their specific style of playing. Nyles did some amazing work on my 70's vintage Gianni rosewood acoustic. The bridge had a pulled up and it was looking dismal for the spruce top. With some expert care he saved the spruce top and installed a bridge doctor, new crafted bone nut and bridge. The sound is great. He also worked on my Stratocaster. Prices are very much reasonable; work is amazing, and the turnaround won't leave you hanging.

My kids accidently broke my guitar as they were playing in the house. I thought my guitar was a goner. The neck was broken into two pieces. I called Reynolds Repair and he was able to fix it like new. It was not expensive to repair and now I am playing in front of my favorite audience again, my kids.

While traveling across country in our RV, our son encountered an issue with his acoustic guitar which required an immediate repair. I located Reynolds guitar repair shop on maps and placed a call to the shop. Nyles introduced himself and listened to our issues. I used the website to easily schedule a same day appointment. Upon arrival, I must say that at first I was slightly apprehensive about his business being out of his garage. That said, I’m glad I didn’t judge a book by its cover. It was very evident that he had a complete setup, was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and experienced. Within minutes, he had my son’s guitar repaired, tuned, and playing as good as the day we bought it. I would highly recommend Reynolds Guitar Repair.

I couldn’t find anyone to fix the electronics on my a/e and then I found Nyles. He gave my guitar a full work over AND did magic to the circuit boards. It didn’t even sound this good when I first got it 14 years ago! Highly HIGHLY recommend

I've taken two of my Martins to get a setup and Nyles did an outstanding job on both. After his work, both guitars play and sound incredible. Nyles is an exceptional luthier that I would trust to repair any guitar. On top of his great work, the turnaround is very quick and the price is reasonable.

My 20 year old + Martin acoustic needed some new tuners and a look over. Niles was prompt and enjoyable to talk to regarding the guitar. He spotted some hairline cracking on some frets and addressed those also. Highly recommended "Neighborhood" Luthier!Post number 2! Just took a Fender Stratrocastet Ultra for a professional set up by Nyles. Job done was fantastic and as always to conversation in his shop was great! Highly recommend.

Highly recommend for guitar work. I brought my D16 to Nyles for a set up. I’ve owned it for 10 years and while it played good, wanted to see if any extra tweaks could improve it. I’m thrilled with the outcome and find myself falling in love with the acoustic again given the enhanced playability!

Got a used 2023 Epiphone Les Paul, untouched. Which also means never has been set up! But got it because it has the things I like and Epiphone since 2020 has improved. So I found Reynolds guitar to get the guitar up to par. WHAT a difference. Soon as I opened the case I could visually see the difference, side fret work, neck/guitar set up, took out the modern split coil pots for standard 500 pots with bumble bee capacitors, restrung, and the jack replaced. End result? A neck that runs like butter, responsive volume knobs and just an amazing dependable guitar that rivals expensive models. Real test was just how it sounded acoustically and propelled, and even more so plugged in. Just vibrant compared from before. Night and day performance! My new work horse axe!Also, Great communication, timely done and fair price that matches the exceptional quality/skills. I have two Gretsch Electomatics that will be going in soon for Reynolds special touches. Rock on!

Responsive communication, quality craftsmanship, quick turnaround, fair prices. I was beyond impressed with my experience here. My Taylor Big Baby was in rough shape after several cross-country moves and Nyles got it playing better than new in no time. I waited a couple months to write this review to see if it would slip back into its issues but no way, the work was solid and it's still sounding amazing. Thanks Nyles, keep up the great work!

Nyles did a fantastic setup job on my new Fender Jazzmaster. He even implemented a unique fix for the floating bridge that constantly threw the guitar out of intonation. It’s never played or felt better since he worked on it. Fantastic work, will be bringing all my instruments here from now and recommending all my musician friends do the same. Thanks Nyles!

I was in some desperate need of help for my brand new Schecter Bass and I could not be more pleased with the quality of Nyles work.Such a down to earth guy with an attitude that just makes you smile. Needed a twenty year old acoustic fixed up which needed a little more work than a standard set-up. He's clearly very capable and knows what he's doing, the guitar sounds amazing now. The Guitar Whisperer!!! Totally trust your precious instruments to be well-cared for by a knowledgeable, honest craftsman. He fixed my 2000 Martin HD28 after it developed a hairline crack in the top....the crack is stable and somehow it sounds and plays even better? He has some kind of magic.Next I brought my 1973 S. Yairi and he fixed the action, tuned up the tuners, and gave it a good polish. It is 50 years old, but it looks and plays like new again. It is really comforting to have an expert (and did I say he is also super nice...talked me out of blaming myself for the crack!) to consult. Thank you! 🎶🙏❤️

Phenomenal service. I have had Nyles do work on my guitars about half a dozen times now, and he always does a spectacular job. In particular I like to use a lot of drop tunings (Drop A#, C Standard, etc.), and Nyles is the only person I have found in Reno who has consistently done an excellent job setting them up. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a guitar tech.

Nyles Reynolds went above and beyond on the bridge reglue for my Cordoba classical guitar. He cleaned and polished the frets, changed strings, and even gave me a guitar humidifier to prevent the same issue going forward. He was really pleasant and easy to communicate with and had a really fast response time. I loved being able to quickly text with him. I am glad that I found Reynolds guitar and highly recommend.

I just got my electric guitar back from Niles and I have to say I'm very impressed with his work. The guitar required fret work, intonation, Floyd rose adjustment and some electrical. The guitar is set up better now than it was when it was new and all for a very reasonable price. If you need work done on your guitar, give him a call.

Nyles is the best guitar repair guy in all of Reno. Don't bother going to the Guitar Shop. Nyles is highly trained and has the experience to help you with all your guitar repairs. Electric or acoustic doesn't matter, he tells you up front what your guitars needs and has the work done in a reasonable time and for a fair price. I thought my 1978 12 string Ovation was beyond repair (warped deck) but Nyles figured out a way to repair it! That guitar sings! I highly recommend Nyles Guitar Repair.

Nyles did a re fret on my almost 50yr old Gibson Heritage I bought new shortly after high school, I told him My Breedlove was always easier to play than the Gibson, he suggested I bring in my Breed love in and he would try to match the Gibsons action to the Breedlove. OH MY GOD! his work was impeccable! My Gibson has never played so nice and the fret work was nothing short of perfect! What more can I say!

I am so glad that my friend recommended Reynolds’s Guitar Repair to me. Niles has recently two of my guitars, one a Yamaha AC3R and the other a Guild F30. He has done outstanding work on both. He gets the work done on time and his attention to detail is amazing, One of the guitars needed some fret work and the frets now look better and play smother than ever. His prices are incredibly reasonable and he’s a great guy to interact with. He’s now my go to guy for guitar repair. I wish I could give him more than five stars. He’s the best I’ve ever used.

I have been looking for a go-to place to take my guitar in Reno. I had tried other shops but was never really happy with the quality of the work nor with the price point - I am so happy to have found my shop! I cannot say enough good things about Nyles. I dropped off my guitar Sunday afternoon and picked it up the next day. He works very hard to get your work done as soon as possible while maintaining a high degree of quality. Other shops in Reno charge over double the price and offer less than half the quality and experience. Additionally, I have found other shops treat me like a number and are a bit condescending at times. In speaking with Nyles, one understands right away that they are speaking to someone who is truly passionate about, and loves, what they do - it feels like talking to a close friend rather than someone you are doing business with. Heck, he even complimented my guitar when I took it out of its case! I cannot say enough good things about Reynolds Guitar Repair!

Got the pleasure of hanging out with Niles while waiting to get to my guitar. Seems very knowledgeable, and has a tendency to put in just that little bit of extra effort to get it right. I absolutely love Reynolds Guitar repair! I've been taking my bass guitars to them for about a year now, and my basses have never sounded any better! I bought an Ibanez sr300 from guitar center and it had a lot of fret buzz and many other issues, so I took it to Reynolds Guitar repair. Within the same week I got the bass back and all the fret buzz was gone and the bass sounded amazing. Highly recommend Reynolds Guitar Repair.
